Why GHL users need WhatsApp
GoHighLevel is built to centralize your sales and marketing — but if your leads are on WhatsApp, the conversation starts outside your CRM and usually stays there. Copy-pasting messages, switching apps, and losing context kills conversions.
CenGHL fixes that by connecting any WhatsApp number directly to GHL's Conversations tab. You reply from GHL, trigger workflows from WhatsApp replies, and never leave your CRM.
What you need
- A GoHighLevel account (agency, sub-account, or white-label)
- A WhatsApp number on a phone you have access to
- A CenGHL account (7-day free trial, no setup fee)
Step 1 — Install CenGHL from the GHL Marketplace
Go to your GoHighLevel account → Settings → Marketplace → search "CenGHL". Click Install. The OAuth flow connects your GHL account in one click — no API keys, no developer work.
If you're an agency, you can install at the agency level and distribute access to sub-accounts from your CenGHL dashboard.
Step 2 — Create a WhatsApp instance
Log in to app.cenghl.com and click "New instance". Name it (e.g. "Sales Line" or "Support"), select which GHL sub-account it belongs to, and click Create.
Step 3 — Scan the QR code
Open WhatsApp on your phone → Settings → Linked Devices → Link a Device. Scan the QR code shown in your CenGHL dashboard. Your number is now connected.
This uses the same mechanism as WhatsApp Web — no Meta Business verification needed, no API approval, works with personal and business numbers.
Step 4 — Send your first message from GHL
Open any contact in GoHighLevel → Conversations tab. You'll see WhatsApp as a channel option. Type your message and send. It goes out from your connected number and the reply syncs back into GHL instantly.
Setting up workflow triggers
Once connected, you can trigger GHL workflows from WhatsApp replies. Go to Automations → Create Workflow → choose "Customer Replied" as the trigger and filter by WhatsApp channel. Now you can auto-tag contacts, move them through pipelines, or send follow-ups based on what they reply.
Managing multiple numbers
If you're on the Growth or Agency plan, you can connect multiple WhatsApp numbers across your sub-accounts. Each instance is independent — different numbers, different automations, same GHL CRM.
